Lakeland (English Lake District) May 2nd to 9th, 2006

A beautiful holiday week in Cumbria, the northwesternmost district of England. Thanks to the very grateful offer of Roger and Ann Hiley, which I got to know via the Online Fellwalking Club, an informal internet platform of passionate fellwalkers, I had the opportunity to stay in their cottage at the very small village Loweswater in the northwestern part of the Cumbrian mountains, from where daily tours to the fells were undertaken.
