Grüner See - "Green Lake" near Tragöß 31.5.2023

Due to constructions works in our house - with drilling concrete all day we end up our holiday. On the way back, we branch off in Bruck an der Mur to the Tragöß valley and to the Grüner See ("Green Lake").

Dachstein is wonderfully clear this morning.

Arrived at the Green Lake.

Lots of algae at the surface of this part of the lake. Click here or into the picture for a larger display

We now walk around the lake, in gentle speed and many breaks for photographs.

Also the "rear part" of the lake now is full with water. Last autumn, here only was a small puddle and a land bridge between the two parts of the lake. Click here or into the picture for a larger display.

Where we walked on dry ground, now all is full with water.

This strong well supports the lake - during autumn, it only was a small rivulet.

Quell-beck to the Green Lake.

Now, we only have a short leg to our starting point behind the inn.
