Holiday in the Zillertal 3. - 15. August 2019

12 days holiday in Tyrol, in a special dog friendly hotel in Ried in the Ziller dale. A beautiful hotel, fully specalized on guests with dogs. At times, we had 78 guest dogs in 54 rooms. Everything was well managed, verya clean, and with lots of dog friendly features, such as a dog playing ground, a swimming pond, and many plastic bag dispensors, combined with waste bins, are placed in close vicinity around. Despite the good food, the friendly care, the perfect hotel infrastructure and the beautiful room we don´t intend to come back to Tyrol. The Ziller valley is tal ist fully "concreted" with much too many houses, there is a daily traffic jam on the main road down to the Inn valley and between Zell am Ziller and Mayerhofen, nearly no parking spaces at the stations of the Zillertal railway (only a few and only with special permit - 8 places in Ried, about 15 in Kaltenbach!). Therefore, I avoided taking pictures from the valley and the villages (hotel collections) but only from the landscape, which is still gorgeous (apart from bulldozed skiing slopes and massively reduced glaciers).

On the drive home on Aug 15th, we take a short break to walk to the lower Krimml waterfall:

View to the Krimml falls, as seen from the Gerlos pass road.

The spray is that intensive, that you cannot approach without getting wet.

This reduces the quality of the pictures ... clean the lenses and hold on very shortly.
