Siegendorf Puszta 19.4.2019

Last year, I was here, later in the year, in the "Siegendorf Puszta". I got a hint from Markus Dürnberger, with pictures, so I knew: I have to visit this place.

In the beginning, we are greeted by this Green-winged orchid (Orchis morio)

The main attraction of the day, however, is the huge abundance of the Garland flowers (Rose daphne, Daphne cneorum)

Lucy wrinkles her nose from the intense flower.

They are growing in such abundance, for instance here on this steep escarpment. The yellow ones are Pheasant´s eyes (Adonis vernalis)

Herwig Gießwein, who´s accompanying me today, is fascinated too.

Hidden under a bush, but Herwig discovered this Trauer - Nachtviole (Hesperis tristis).

At the edge of the area, like Thenau Riegel, lots of  Cypress spurge (Euphorbia cyparissias) in Massen.

Two of the last flowers of Small pasqueflower (Pulsatilla pratensis), the rest is withered.
