Flowers Early June 2016

Back from Norway, a few short outings walking or with the mountain bike, Zurück aus Norwegen, einige kurze Ausflüge zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad, summarized. Wonderful flowers on the fields at the time.

1. 6. 2016: Short dog walk to the Frauen beck..

Thunder clouds in the sky - as often, they discharge most of their content over Ternitz, Neunkirchen and the Wechsel region.

Lighter over here.

2. 6.2016: A short mountain bike ride to the lily grassland near Bad Fischau. Poppy fields in between..

Diptam (Dictamnus albus) still in flower.

View to the plain

Chamomillae flowrishing in masses in the vineyard.

Still changeable weather, but mild tmeperatures.

Once more, a thunderstorm is approaching.

9.6.2016: Short dog walk to Frauen beck. Our stree got a new tarmac surface. On free areas, new soil was put besides the streets, containing many seeds.

Lady´s bedstraw variant (Galium wirtgenii) in the meadow behind the Frauen beck. Thanks a lot to Norbert Sauberer from Vienna´s Institut für Naturschutzforschung und Ökologie for the mail with the identifiation of this and other plants in this page.

Dropwort (Filipendula vulgaris) (thanks to N. Sauberer)

Different poppies on a fallow ...

... maybe from wind driven seeds from this garden.

10.6.2016: Short mountain bike ride to the lily grassland, Eisenstein cave and back via Weikersdorf. Adriatic lizard orchids (Himantoglossum adriaticum) are open now.

This one together with the dictamnus.

Five on one blow. You nearly always find them near or even under a bush.

Speedwell (Veronica teucrium) - thanks to N. Sauberer!

Mullein (Verbascum sp.) - don´t know wich one ...

These two lizard orchids are growing inmidst the grassland - but ...

... the nearest bush isn´t far.

View over the plain.

In the forest near the Eisenstein cave two red helleborine (Cephalantera rubra)

Still clouds today, but no rain.

Wheat field with pretty "weed" - suppose it´s "biological" wheat.

Speedwell (Veronica teucrium) on this scarp down to the vineyard.

Sulfur cinquefoil (Potentilla recta) - thanks to N. Sauberer!

Poppies on this scarp.
