Mountainbike tour n the morning to well known orchid places.

First I revisit the water pipe dam, to see the adriatic lizard orchids in flower. Near the place, in an older fallow, woodland sage (Salvia nemorosa)

Purple crown vetch (Securigera varia)

And here they are, once more, the Adriatic Lizard orchids (Himantoglossum adriaticum), in abundance - a week ago I did not see so many.

This is the same plant of my very first picture Das ist die selbe Pflanze, der ich a week ago.

Full in flower today.

Adriatic Lizard orchids (Himantoglossum adriaticum)

Now, a bit of the accompanying flora of the Adriatic Lizard orchids (Himantoglossum adriaticum): carthusian pink (Dianthus carthusianorum) ...

... Inula hirta (Inula hirta) ...

... Erect clematis or ground virginsbower (Clematis recta) ...

Carthusian pink (Dianthus carthusianorum), far left in the picture.

Once more Inula hirta (Inula hirta)

Clustered bellfower (Campanula glomerata)

I changed to a secret (and in some way rather public) place, where, after prolonged search, I find the only three exemplars of  bee orchid (Ophrys apifera).

Bee orchid (Ophrys apifera), the right one with a withered broomrape.

More numerous is this kind of orchid, which is withered however. It might be a military orchid (Orchis militaris).
