Ödensee and Ödensee-Moor 29.5.2023

Diving to a shoprt holiday in Bad Aussee, we stop at the Ödensee, as often. This time, however, we take the bicycles for a ride from the bridge over the river Ödensee-Traun, shortly after the railway level crossing.

An unbelievable flower meadow is expecting us ...

... in this place with ragged robins (Silene flos-cuculi)...

... and white daffodills (Narcissus radiiflorus) in another one.

Lots of heath spotted orchids (Dactylorhiza majalis), ...

... which may be near colourloess in this rare one.

Nice view to Grimming from the Ödensee moor.

In even more wet places lots of ...

 ... der bogbeans (Menyanthes trifoliata).

Along the river Ödensee-Traun, the outflow of the Ödensee, which has a bit an indented bed, I find more natural meadows.

At the river, between reed, this cushion spurge (Euphorbia verrucosa).

Another part of the moor, with lots of cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris).

Arrived at the Ödensee, we circle it ...

... and drop in the inn of the Kohlröserlhütte for lunch.
